"50 Hikes in Eastern Massachusetts" with Author M. Bilis (Virtual)

Tuesday, August 67:00—8:00 PMZoom

Author, Madeline Bilis will join us to chat about her book 50 Hikes in Eastern Massachusetts. We'll focus on coastal view walks. Maybe we can even get Madeline to discuss her favorite pizza shops along the way. As you gear up for the end of summer, you won't want to miss this!

About the book: In this first-edition guide, Madeline Bilis shares her years of outdoors experience in the Boston area, providing 50 hikes for people of all skill and experience levels. While the Berkshires tend to get all recognition when it comes to hiking in Massachusetts, the eastern part of the state is packed with treasures for lovers of the outdoors.

From the rocky ledges of the Blue Hills Reservation to the sandy stretches of the Cape Cod National Seashore, incredible trails and vistas abound in this varied region. In addition to stunning natural views, you’ll delight in discovering dozens of small towns, cultural attractions, and historical sites during your adventures around Boston and the Cape.

About the author: Madeline Bilis is a freelance writer and editor based in Newton. Her work has appeared in Boston magazine, Travel + Leisure, Architectural Digest, Real Simple, and the Boston Globe, among other outlets. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Emerson College. 50 Hikes in Eastern Massachusetts is her first book.
