Communities Responding to Extreme Weather or CREW's Climate Prep Week is from September 24-30th. This year's theme is "the planet's health & yours: facing the invisible impacts of climate change." Please add your art work, poetry, to our sidewalk chalk art display all week. All ages are encouraged to enjoy our beautiful front lawn and Storywalk while adding art on the theme of what about your environment brings you health, peace and joy. The front lawn has become a hub of activity and programing and it is made possible through the library's volunteer Friends group and other community members and partner organizations.

"This year's theme for Climate Prep Week explores the many ways that extreme weather and climate change manifest outside of the most noticeable disasters and disruptions. From the toll that climate anxiety & grief can take on mental health to how the invisible threat of extreme heat is most powerfully felt in historically redlined and disenfranchised communities."
