Cookbook Club: Cookie Swap and Mocktails
Tuesday, December 1012:00—1:00 PMReference RoomManchester-by-the-Sea Public Library15 Union Street, Manchester-by-the-Sea, MA, 01944
The Cookbook Club meets once a month to share recipes from a cookbook off our library shelves. December's meet up is a little different. Please bring in any cookie to swap and a recipe for a mocktail to pair with it. You can bring the mocktail or just the recipe. Do not bring your cocktail if it includes alcohol - just bring the recipe.
Check out these titles on our shelves for inspiration:
- Monday Night Mocktails : 52 Drinks to Welcome the Week by Jennifer Newens
- Zero Proof Drinks & More : 100 Recipes for Mocktails & Low-Alcohol Cocktails by Maureen Petrosky
- Gazoz : the Art of Making Magical, Seasonal Sparkling Drinks by Benny Briga & Adeena Sussman
- Hot Cocoa Comfort : 50 Recipes for Comforting Cups of Chocolate by Michael Turback
- Growing Your Own Cocktails, Mocktails, Teas & Infusions : gardening tips and how-to techniques for making artisanal beverages at home by Jodi Helmer and Jeanette Hurt
Register below. Please register so we know how much cutlery to have on hand. Please see info below from the public health department. Email mwillwerth@manchesterpl.org with any questions.
How it works:
- Register for a recipe below or call 978-526-7711.
- Make enough to share (for about 20-30 cookies) and bring your own serving utensils.
- Come to the library and be prepared to eat, share, chat, and connect over food. We'll be talking about our favorite holiday cookies and how you picked your mocktail or cocktail recipe, and if you modified it at all.
Per the Public Health Department:
- This is a potluck event, the food is donated and shared, it does not come from a licensed kitchen.
- The library is not liable for allergies but all cooks are encouraged to bring an ingredient card with their food so we can be aware of allergens.
Disclaimer: We cannot guarantee that there will be gluten free or vegetarian/vegan options as attendees will choose the dishes they will make. We will, though, have individual meetings that focus on various topics that may feature these kinds of choices.
Registration for this event has now closed.
