French Culture and Conversation: La culture du café

French Culture and Conversation is a 6 session series. At least a level 1 in French is required to engage in these sessions. Conversation and instruction will be in French. Sessions include vocabulary and skits to practice conversations and pronunciation. Register for each session separately. There is limited space so please only register for the sessions you are available for and let us know with at least 24 hours notice if you cannot attend so that we may release your spot to the waitlist.
3/7 Topic: Café Culture & Social Life (La culture du café)
Examines the role of cafés as social spaces for conversation, reading, and people-watching. This topic highlights how French social interaction often happens in public, shared spaces.
This is the last session of the series
About our Teacher: Paul teaches French at Waring School. He received his MA in French Lit at the University of Florida and his BA in English Lit at the University of Angers/France. He has taught world languages (including English, French and Romance languages) for several years both in the States and in France and most recently Angers. Paul is also fluent in Turkish, and a passionate ceramicist.
